The benefits of mindfulness are widely known....this is yet another way to be mindful. We have a concept of who we are in the world (conceptual self awareness)......through this practice you'll gain embodied and sensory self awareness as well. Leverage the intelligence of your body....there's a lot of wisdom there as well as some things that would love to be seen, comforted, and healed.
It's not a cure-all, but there's a lot to learn from Embodied Movement.
What gets triggered in our body can play out in our actions without us even being aware. Learn to tune in more, with compassion.

Gain a greater sense of grounding.
We're human, we make mistakes, we fall off track. We may have our "best self" in mind and don't know how to get back to it. This is another way/method of returning.
Notice how you are in relationship to others through noticing your body in dance. What do you need to feel safe? How can you have clear boundaries? How do you
not loose yourself?
Self reflection with compassion helps us deal with life's challenges more gracefully.
You'll also have greater access to your intuition.
We danced as kids, we dance to celebrate. There can be incredible joy in movement (sometimes we need
to keep brain out of the way!! )
Sometimes our brain enjoys the ride, too!
