That may sound odd.....after all, this is where you spend most of your time...right? But how tuned in are you to the intelligence that your body holds? How aware are you of all that is stirring within?
This body-based mindfulness practice asks you to relax your intellect, quiet your brain, and connect with the messages you receive internally. With presence and engagement, while looking through a lens of curiosity and playfulness, you will learn to attune to the knowledge of your body, rather than reacting to or responding from it's perceptions without even realizing.
You will learn to move from your center and in alignment with what your body is feeling and needing. This experiential approach reveals emotions and patterns of relating and engaging with yourself and others.
Everyone is welcome, movement will be tailored to you......your body is in charge.
This is a great place to be a beginner or a seasoned mover....I provide some facilitation of movement, supporting you to try one some new things, engaging more with yourself and others...finding your confidence and some new ways of being on the floor.
This is not therapy, but a space to move, practicing connecting with your body....alone and in community. It's movement, dance, play....come give it a try.
A space to sink in to the expansive energy of a Sunday morning...gathering, moving alone and together, a sacred space for you to tend to the longings of your heart and soul.
I'll drop in some inquiries and have a poem on hand, but the rest will unfold as it will.
As usual, I'll offer a variety of music....from slow and contemplative to big and funky and lots in between. A space to pray, play, connect, pause...a great way to start the week embodied and filled.
The most therapeutic of offerings....a circle of support, giving you a place to pause and tend to your heart, soul, body. Practice in giving and receiving support, being witnessed and held by others and doing the same.
Mindfulness, group conversation, deep connection with others, somatic inquiry, movement practice, authentic relating, grounding....a big list of things that will happen here. Sign ups are for six weeks at a time, with the intention of this being a long term group.
I will continue to have this as an offering that rotates through regularly....to support those who are anxious to step on the dance floor to feel more comfortable with movement again.
I'll offer lots of guidance and some ways to listen in to your body....letting it take the lead. Come reconnect with the joy of moving and dance and feel more confident in expressing yourself on the dance floor.
These will vary...check the description for the level of depth and intention of what is being offered. I currently am collaborating with a breathwork facilitator and a couple of other therapists....see if one fits for you....a great way to step into this practice.
Tailored to the needs of your audience....from a somatic exploration/movement session,. to facilitating a playful, connecting group experience, to providing extra therapeutic support....reach out and let's have a conversation of how I can support you.
I'm a total convert to Soul in Motion. I resisted for months....I didn't want to, but I had a feeling that I was going to like it. I was completely freaked out to dance on Zoom, so I moved to the side of the screen so I could still see Lynne and hear her instruction without anyone seeing me.
It has been one of the most relaxing things I've done for myself in years. I feel so invigorated after class. I actually look forward to it now.
If you're skeptical or feel awkward dancing, just give it a try. I promise it will change the way you feel in your body. It's wonderful.
